Got my new PB today, 6:44! The previous one was 7 minutes. Yah, 5x5 is fun!
I will improve more. 6 minutes is still dull slo0ow~. I'm aiming for 4 minutes average in next two weeks. Anyways, I'm using a Yong Jun 5x5 cube. Keep on reading for the solution of the cube pieces that keeps on falling off.
Yong Jun company was known for their work of copying other cube brands mechanisms. Like these 5x5, the one I'm currently using, had the same mechanisms as Eastsheen 5x5. I dont know which one is better cuz I dont have an Eastsheen to do the comparision.
If your 5x5 was dissamble I reccomened lubing it first. Let it dry for 2-3 days then only ressamble it back
Okay, for the modification. It is very simple. What you need to do is;
First open the center caps
using a flat-head screwdriver. I'm using this:
then cut the paper(?) from a box. Cube box works well here. Just make sure it's not too soft and too thick.
I got that from this:
And yes this will do too:
After that cut the paper(??) in squares and put a hole on it:
Then do this:
After that cut the paper(???) in circle just like the shape of the screw.
Next and the last step, put the screw back to the cube and screw it on the TIGHTEST tension or else the pieces will keeps on falling off again.
Do this on ALL six center caps and if you do this right, the cube will never fall off again. I've done like 10 solves with this mod and it works.
Good luck!
